LindaMoserTrumpetvineHow many opera stars do you know who are also psychics, master herbalists, and solar oven chefs?  If you said, “One,” then you’ve probably already met AZHCC member Linda Moser.  Not only is Linda an expert in all these areas, but she offers an even wider variety of healing methodologies through her business, Trumpetvine Natural Healing Arts.

Linda was born in the Bay Area – a second generation Californian.  Her musical talents developed early, and by age 18, she was singing with the San Francisco Opera and had a full scholarship to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.  Unfortunately, first love intervened and her music career was curtailed for awhile. After she was married, Linda discovered that her husband would not allow her to continue to perform opera or continue with her scholarship.  He only allowed her to sing folk songs.

The couple moved to Phoenix where Linda had visited him while he was in school. “You’ll be a massage therapist,” he told her once they arrived.  “That was a good thing,” Linda acknowledges. “I was 22 and discovered I had the ability to listen to others and communicate through massage.  Later, when I turned 40, all of my other psychic gifts suddenly opened.” Moving to Phoenix also turned out to be a good thing. “I love being warm,” she smiles.

Her abusive relationship ended in 1974 when her first husband left.  Linda worked to support and protect her oldest son, Freeman Socrates.  In 1978, she married Rick and had daughter, Aura Deva, and son, Jesse Morning Sky.  She points with pride to pictures of herself with her three children and to Aura’s artwork which can be found throughout Linda’s home.  “I kid them that I had an intellectual, an artist and a jock,” she says, with obvious pride in all their accomplishments.  Freeman, a political science major and former Air Force Intelligence Officer, is married and living in Budapest with his wife, a U.N finance management instructor. Aura has just moved from New York to San Francisco, where she works with a video game company doing animation.  And Jesse lives in east Gilbert where he is a captain in the ballroom of the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort. Mostly you will find him wakeboarding on some lake.

LindaMoserSolarOvenLinda went to work in a day care just before Aura was born, and in 1981, she started her own day care.  She had been very sick in 1977, shrinking down to only 98 pounds, but regained her health after going on a strict vegetarian diet.  This started what would be a lifetime pursuit of health and nutrition information. She studied and was certified as an Herbalist.  In 1979, she met Bob and Heather Larson who introduced her to solar cooking.  Soon, Linda was involved in solar catering with the Larsons, creating a cookbook of award-winning solar recipes.

Linda is still amazed at the way all of her psychic abilities opened once she turned 40.  “Suddenly I could see and feel my client’s emotions,” she recalls.  “I could feel their energy fields.  I would know if someone was telling the truth. I could feel negative energy.  It was pretty overwhelming until I could integrate it all.”

Fascinated by the insights she could now bring to her clients, Linda pursued a variety of certifications and endorsements including Reiki, Tonal Therapy, Lomi Lomi massage, Herbology, Psychic Energy Trigger Points and Dr. Eric Pearl’s Reconnective Therapy. Not surprising for someone who has had some relationship challenges in her life, Linda specializes in Heart Awakening Therapy.

“I do whatever it takes,” Linda asserts.  “I have 22 years of study and experience to put to use, so I mix it up.  I do everything from cranial sacral work to shamanic healing to ghost busting.  I can do deep tissue massage, dousing, kinesiology, or flower essence and gem elixir therapy.”  Linda explains that through her Heart Awakening Therapy, she can help the client bypass their ego and answer questions about trauma through their body. She can also use her powerful voice to send therapeutic toning directly into an injury or trauma point.  Her psychic abilities allow her to work in the auric field and do readings and past life work with her clients.  These insights also help her design a health and nutrition program for them. “I intuit how much they should take and when to take it.”

Her latest enthusiasm is for Protandim, an effective blend of herbs developed by Dr. Joseph McCord. Linda was introduced to the product six months ago by AZHCC member Bill Torrey (check out Bill Torrey’s spotlight for more information), and she’s been studying it ever since.  “I used to take many of the ingredients separately, but now I just take one pill that has it all.”

Happily for the music world, Linda went back to singing in 1987.  She has been singing with the Arizona Opera, the Phoenix Symphony and the Phoenix Opera for the last 23 years.

LindaMoserPianoYou may be surprised to learn all of the special places where Linda has sung. She has sung on top of Mount Sinai and in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid in Egypt twice.  She has sung in Royal Albert Hall in London and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. One of her most precious memories is singing in Saint Catherine’s Monastery at the foot of Mount Sinai.  “This site is built around the burning bush and Jacob’s Well, and they never let women sing there, but they let me,” Linda enthuses.  “I sang the Ave Maria in the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal in Paris, too,” she adds. “I’ve sung in Vienna , Budapest and Venice. Outside of Vienna, I performed in a place where Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms performed.”

Good things are still happening.  On Jan. 10, 2012, Linda will be singing on stage with Dmitri Hvorostovsky from Russia, whom she describes as the “Mick Jagger of the Opera World.”  He is only doing one performance in the U.S.; it’s here in Phoenix and Linda will be part of it.

Still, opera is not her primary career.  “As I’ve gotten older, my voice has gotten deeper and fuller.  I can still sing the high soprano notes, but now underneath there is the cello-like resonance of a lower voice.  When I sing, something beyond me takes over.”  Linda laughs, “I’ve been a professional singer all my life – but I’m not really here to be an opera singer.  It’s a karmic thing and I know it.  It has to do with a past life.”

Linda’s second marriage to Rick had its challenges, too, as he was a depressed alcoholic. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1995 and it later came back with lung and lymph involvement.  When it re-occurred, Rick consented to letting Linda use her healing therapies on him, which resulted in a dramatic change in his feelings about himself.  Although he died in 2001, “the last nine months were an amazing honeymoon for us,” Linda explains.  She details this story of change in her book, A Young Woman’s Journey through Rhyme and Reason.

However, with her typical resiliency, after seven years of being alone, Linda met the new love of her life, Ruben Hernandez. He’s an award-winning journalist turned marketing expert, with emphasis on the Hispanic market.  “I’ve never met anyone I’ve been more psychically in tune with,” Linda admits. “At first, I didn’t think I could be with a man that tall, but even though he’s 6’3,” he doesn’t feel too tall at all.”

What would Linda have for her last meal on the planet?  “It would have garlic in it,” she begins, “And fresh veggies and fresh cilantro.  I like green chilies, too. Maybe some Mexican dish with chicken and green chilies or some salmon would be good too.  For dessert, I’d like something chocolate and some pumpkin pie.  Ruben is a great cook.  I’d finish with tea or coffee.  We make a great coffee on Sundays.  It has cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, Stevia and Haagen Das vanilla ice cream.  I look forward to it all week!”  Yummy!

What you might not know about Linda is that she loves to travel.  “My heart is in joy when I travel abroad.”  Since Aura has moved to San Francisco, Linda sighs, “I have no bed in New York any more.  I like to go once or twice a year to shop – especially to visit Macy’s in Harold Square.”  On her list of places to visit she has Istanbul, Greece, Malta, Crete, the south of France, the rest of Italy, and Morocco.

But in between jaunts, Linda Moser would be an excellent person to meet and get to know.  Do you need a great massage or feel like you could use some chakra balancing?  Do you have some physical or emotional trauma you’d like to release?  Contact Linda and Trumpetvine Natural Healing Arts at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
